Today, we’re capping off the launch with our very first Off-Menu post.

There’s a few brilliant things happening in Glasgow this month. Conscious that we’ve missed the first week of September, but there’s still a few things you should check out later on in the month.

• Glasgow Cathedral Festival (17–20 Sept) | Merchant City / East End: Celebrating its 10th anniversary, this four-day takeover transforms Glasgow’s oldest building with site-specific art installations, live music, and historical tours.

• Scotland’s Strongest Man 2026 (19 Sept) | SEC Centre: The ultimate arena show for heavy-lifting enthusiasts returns for a day of deadlifts and arena trials.

• Scottish Wild Food Festival (19–20 Sept) | Near Drymen: A short trip out past Milngavie for outdoor foraging walks, wild cooking demos, and local artisan markets.

• Todd Rundgren (13 Sept): Theatre Royal

• Two Doors Down Live (25–27 Sept): OVO Hydro

Weekend Pocket Guide

• Autumn Walk - Clyde Walkway via Govan Bridge: Take the riverside route starting at the Riverside Museum, cross the new footbridge to Govan for a stop at the historic stones, and double back along the Clyde for golden hour views of the Finnieston Crane. Just an idea if you’re looking for a new walking route. Be sure to wrap up though as its going to get colder.

• Cosy Drinks - Vroni’s Wine Bar: The ultimate low-lit spot for a cheeseboard and wine flights as the nights start drawing in. There’s some cracking deals online at Vroni’s - be sure to check out sites like Itison and see if there’s any offers available. • Dinner Spot - Malocchio: Ideal Merchant City stop for fresh pasta and small plates before heading out to explore. Our previous post was on this if you want to read about our experience there.
